CRIMINALS SHOULD BE READY TO GO TO JAIL: SANJAY SINGH TIGER

BHABHUA--------------------------Sanjay Singh Tiger—the Bihar government’s Minister for Higher Education and Law, who also serves as the District In-charge Minister—arrived in Kaimur today, Tuesday (May 19). There, he participated in ‘Sahyog Shivirs’ (Assistance Camps) organized across Mohania, Chainpur, Bhabhua, and Bhagwanpur. Speaking on the occasion, he stated that the district administration itself would visit the doorsteps of the public to ensure that beneficial government schemes reach the people. The objective is to ensure that the public receives the benefits of government-run schemes promptly and that their grievances are resolved efficiently. To this end, ‘Sahyog Shivirs’ were organized across the entire state of Bihar today.

During the visit, Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger also issued a strong statement regarding the rising crime rate and the state of law and order in Bihar. He asserted that Bihar operates on a policy of ‘zero tolerance’ towards crime. Issuing a stern warning, he declared that criminals must either abandon their criminal activities or leave Bihar; otherwise, they should be prepared to face the fires of hell.

When asked about the allegations of corruption linked to a school—leveled against Bihar’s Education Minister, against whom the Vigilance Department has already filed a chargesheet—and how such an individual could be appointed as a minister in Bihar, Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger responded by stating that he was unaware of the details. He asked, "What are the specific allegations? What is the nature of the case? Whatever the situation may be... if the Chief Minister has chosen to include him in his cabinet, he must have done so after due deliberation. The veracity of these allegations is a matter for investigation. In the realm of politics, allegations and counter-allegations are a common occurrence."

He was also asked whether the NDA government in Bihar has become a ‘cottage industry’ for the children of politicians—citing the examples of Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, and Upendra Kushwaha’s son, Deepak Prakash, neither of whom is currently a member of any legislative house, yet both have been appointed as ministers. Responding to this, Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger explained that the Constitution contains a specific provision stating that any individual appointed as a minister must secure an electoral victory within six months of their appointment. He emphasized that, in this instance, no one has violated the Constitution.
