AWARENESS PROGRAMME BY DLSA

BHABHUA----------------------------An awareness program was organized in the Piprahi block of Sheohar district under the guidance of Deepak Kumar, Principal District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Sheohar, and the instructions of Lalan Kumar Rajak, Secretary of the DLSA, Sheohar.

During the program, Panel Advocate Ajit Kumar Jha and Para-Legal Volunteer (PLV) Raushan Kumar Singh provided detailed information to the attendees regarding legal rights, government assistance, compensation schemes, and free legal services related to human-wildlife conflict.

They explained that the objective of this initiative is to provide legal aid to individuals and families affected by human-wildlife conflict and to raise awareness about their rights.

Participants were informed that in the event of loss of life or property caused by wildlife, the affected individuals or their family members could obtain compensation and other relief by following the prescribed procedure. Information regarding the free legal aid and counseling services provided by the DLSA was also shared.

The villagers and members of the public present participated actively in the program and gained information on various aspects of human-wildlife conflict. Finally, the attendees were urged to immediately report any such incidents to the concerned department and were informed that they could contact the DLSA, Sheohar, for necessary legal assistance.
