TWO SMUGGLERS ARRESTED WITH 35.15 GRAMS OF SMACK

ARA---------------------------Acting against narcotics smuggling, the police arrested two youths near Kulhariya Toll Plaza with 35.15 grams of a narcotic substance resembling 'smack'. An FIR has been registered against both individuals at Koilwar Police Station (Case No. 159/26, dated July 27, 2026) under Sections 8(c), 21(b), and 29 of the NDPS Act.

The arrested accused are Dheeraj Kumar (20), son of Kaushal Kumar, a resident of Mahinawa Ward No. 17 in the Maner police station area of ​​Patna district; and Vikas Kumar (26), son of Ajay Kumar Singh, a resident of Ward No. 20.

According to the police, the two were transporting illegal narcotics. Acting on a tip-off, the police detained and searched them during a vehicle check near Kulhariya Toll Plaza. During the search, 35.15 grams of a narcotic substance resembling 'smack' was recovered from their possession. The police have seized a TVS Sport motorcycle used in the smuggling operation, along with two mobile phones, from the scene. The recovered items have been confiscated, and further legal action is underway. Following interrogation, both accused individuals were produced before the Ara Civil Court and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.

The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. Based on the recovered mobile phones, they are probing the narcotics supply chain and the roles of other individuals involved.

The police have stated that the campaign against drug smuggling in the district will continue unabated, and no one involved in this illicit trade will be spared.
