ARA------------------------------Under the 'Nikshay Mitra' campaign in Bhojpur, RAMCO Industries Limited adopted 100 TB patients and distributed food baskets to them. The objective of the program is to provide nutritional support to TB patients and engage the community in the TB eradication drive.
To strengthen the TB eradication campaign in Bhojpur district, food baskets were distributed to 100 TB patients under the 'Nikshay Mitra' initiative. The event was held at the Bhojpur Collectorate premises, in accordance with the District Magistrate's directives and in the presence of the Deputy Development Commissioner, with the participation of RAMCO Industries Limited. Nutritional support was provided to patients through participation as 'Nikshay Mitras'.
During the event, the company's General Manager stated that, moving forward, they would adopt even more TB patients and regularly provide them with food baskets. He noted that the 'Nikshay Mitra' scheme is a significant initiative aimed at providing essential nutrition to patients during treatment, thereby facilitating a faster recovery in their health.
Nutrition highlighted as a crucial foundation for successful treatment; speakers at the event remarked that a patient's immunity is often compromised during TB treatment.
In such a scenario, a balanced and nutritious diet plays a vital role in their recovery and the success of the treatment.
The objective of this initiative is to provide patients with necessary nutritional support alongside their medication.
Emphasis was placed on social participation in TB eradication; an appeal was made to various sections of society to join the 'Nikshay Mitra' campaign and assist with the nutrition and treatment of TB patients. Attendees included District Communicable Disease Officer Dr. A. Ahmed, representatives from RAMCO Industries Limited, District Coordinator Ashwini Kumar, the 'Doctors For You' team, and officials and staff from the TB department.
This event proved to be an inspiring effort toward accelerating the goal of TB eradication and providing essential nutritional support to patients. The partnership between the administration and the private sector is also expected to strengthen health awareness and public participation within the community.
