TREE PLANTATION ON KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

BUXAR-------------------------A tree plantation program was organized at the Brahmpur police station premises under the aegis of 'Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi' (Environment Conservation Activity), South Bihar, to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas. During the event, a heartfelt tribute was paid to the immortal martyrs of the Kargil War by planting various species of shade-bearing and flowering trees, including mango, guava, and mahogany. Police personnel and social activists present at the event planted saplings and pledged to ensure their protection.

Addressing the gathering, Brahmpur Station House Officer (SHO) Brijesh Kumar Singh stated that tree plantation is the most effective measure to combat rising pollution and the environmental crisis. He remarked that Kargil Vijay Diwas inspires us not only to remember the sacrifices of the martyrs but also to fulfill our responsibilities towards nature. Each sapling planted today will serve as a living symbol of the martyrs' memory and foster a spirit of patriotism and environmental conservation among future generations. He urged people to not only plant trees but also ensure their regular care.

Shailesh Kumar Ojha, Head of Public Outreach for 'Paryavaran Sanrakshan Gatividhi' (South Bihar), stated that Kargil Vijay Diwas is not merely a symbol of military victory but an eternal reminder of the indomitable courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the nation's brave sons. He drew a parallel, noting that just as soldiers protect the country from external enemies by guarding the borders and police personnel ensure internal security, trees and plants safeguard human life from the threat of pollution. A true tribute to the martyrs would be realized only if the planted saplings are nurtured and protected. The event was attended by Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar of Brahmpur Police Station; activists from the 'Environment Conservation Activity' (South Bihar) unit—namely Akash Parashar, Rakesh Kashyap, Dinesh Kumar, Anil Yadav, and Rahul Kumar; Vimlesh Baba, the priest of the Baba Brahmeshwar Nath Temple; police personnel from the station; and senior social workers and prominent citizens of the area. Paying tribute to the brave martyrs of Kargil, everyone took a collective pledge to plant as many saplings as possible and to nurture them.
