SUSPICIOUS DEATH OF A LABOURER

BHABHUA-----------------------Shambhu Baitha (50), a resident of Rampur Got village in Sharifnagar Panchayat (Tariani block), died under suspicious circumstances while working as a laborer in Punjab. Grief engulfed the entire village when his body arrived at his ancestral home on Thursday. His family members are inconsolable, while fellow villagers are trying to offer them solace.

According to reports, Shambhu Baitha had gone to Punjab to work as a farm laborer to support his family. He was engaged in agricultural work there. His brother, who was working alongside him, recounted that on the day of the incident, the group was heading to the fields to transplant paddy. While the others moved ahead, Shambhu Baitha lagged behind. Shortly after, he was found collapsed on the path; by the time others reached him, he had already passed away.

However, the exact cause and circumstances of his death remain unclear. Family members and villagers consider the death suspicious and are demanding an impartial investigation into the matter.

Making an emotional appeal to the government, the deceased's brother urged that employment opportunities be created within Bihar so that people do not have to migrate to other states for their livelihood. He remarked that had adequate employment been available in the state, such a tragic incident might not have occurred.

Shambhu Baitha was the primary breadwinner of his family. His passing has plunged the family into a deep financial and emotional crisis. He is survived by his wife and three children, who now face the daunting challenge of making ends meet.

A pall of gloom has descended on the village. A large number of villagers have gathered at the deceased's home to offer condolences to the bereaved family. Meanwhile, the family is looking towards the administration and the government for assistance. Villagers have demanded adequate compensation and government aid for the affected family. The exact cause of death has not yet been ascertained.
