Social Worker Shanti Pathak Passes Away

>New Delhi (RNI) eminent social worker Mrs. Shanti Pathak (Moti Devi), and mother of senior journalist Dr. Samrendra Pathak, passed away this morning at the age of 85.

She breathed her last at 7:00 a.m. at her residence in UNI Apartments, Vasundhara, NCR, where she had been residing with her son for several years.

Mrs. Pathak was widely regarded for her simplicity, compassion, and commitment to social values. Her demise marks the end of a graceful and dignified life devoted to family and service.

Her husband, distinguished litterateur Uday Kant Pathak “Munna Babu,” had predeceased her in 2020.

She is survived by her three sons — Amarendra Pathak, Dr. Samrendra Pathak, and Arvind Pathak — her daughter, Neelam Jha, and grandsons Mukesh Kumar and Navesh Kumar.

Her mortal remains have been kept at her residence, where family members, friends, and well-wishers are paying their final respects before the last rites.L.S.
