ARA-----------------------People can now expect relief from long vehicle queues at the Kulharia Toll Plaza in Bhojpur district. For a long time, the plaza witnessed heavy traffic congestion and queues stretching several kilometers from morning till evening. This situation affected the general public as well as the Bhojpur police and other emergency services. Traffic congestion on the Ara-Patna main route often meant that covering a distance of approximately 60 kilometers took hours. This issue frequently sparked public frustration and protest.

Now, the toll management has implemented new payment rules to improve the system. Under these new regulations, all vehicles passing through the toll plaza must pay the toll fee digitally. For vehicles equipped with FASTag, the toll amount will be deducted automatically. Meanwhile, those without FASTag can make payments via UPI by scanning the QR code available at the toll plaza.

Vehicles lacking both FASTag and the facility to pay via UPI will not be permitted to pass through the toll plaza.

The toll management believes this new system will expedite the payment process, ensure smoother traffic flow, and significantly reduce the long queues at the toll plaza. This is expected to bring great relief to the thousands of commuters traveling on the Ara-Patna main route. To ensure travelers and vehicle owners face no inconvenience, the toll management has displayed posters and banners near the plaza regarding these new rules. Previously, vehicles could pass by paying cash when digital payment wasn't used, which was a primary cause of traffic jams. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds following the implementation of this new system. It remains to be seen how effective this proves to be for the general public, the administration, and the toll plaza management.
