POLICE ARRESTED A THIEF

ARA--------------------------The Sahar police have arrested a shopkeeper who was absconding in connection with a theft case. He was arrested on Wednesday from his home in Narayanpur village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Narayanpur police station. Stolen utensils, a pair of silver anklets, a gold chain, and a gold ear stud were recovered from his possession.

The arrested accused is Kamlesh Prasad, son of Dashrath Prasad, a resident of Narayanpur village under the Narayanpur police station area. He runs a utensil shop from his home. Superintendent of Police Raj released a press note providing these details.

It is worth noting that on July 14, thieves broke into the locked house of Professor Satyendra Sharma in Ekwari village (under the Sahar police station area) and stole valuables, including jewelry, worth lakhs of rupees. Following information received from villagers, Prof. Satyendra Sharma lodged an FIR at the local police station on July 15, naming two or three individuals from the same village.

The accused's name surfaced during the investigation. Sudhanshu Kumar, the Additional Station House Officer (SHO), stated that the stolen goods had been sold to Kamlesh Prasad. During interrogation, the stolen jewelry and other items were recovered based on information provided by him.
