CHADAN YADAV MURDERED OVER FAILURE TO PAY FOR LOOTED CAMERA

ARA-----------------------Chandan Yadav, a resident of the Shri Tola neighborhood under the Nawada police station area, was murdered over a dispute regarding payment for a looted camera. This revelation came to light following the arrest of two accused individuals who had been absconding. Both were arrested in Delhi on Monday. Sadar SDPO-1 Rajkumar Sah provided this information in a press statement issued on Thursday.

He stated that the arrested individuals are Rakesh Kumar Mishra (alias Dheeraj Mishra)—son of the late Vinay Mishra and a resident of Sonbarsa village under the Karnamepur police station area—and Prakash Kumar (alias Omprakash)—son of Yugeshwar Yadav and a resident of the New Karman Tola neighborhood under the Nawada police station area.

He mentioned that Chandan Yadav was shot dead near Dharhara Musahar Toli on June 25, 2026. An FIR was lodged with the Town Police Station based on a statement given by the deceased's father, Vijay Yadav, a resident of Shri Tola in the Nawada police station area.

In the FIR, Rakesh Kumar Mishra (alias Dheeraj Mishra) was named as an accused, alongside three unidentified individuals. During the course of the investigation, a police team traveled to Delhi. On July 27, the police team arrested Rakesh Kumar Mishra (alias Dheeraj Mishra). During interrogation, he revealed the names of Prakash Yadav (alias Om Prakash Yadav), Rishiraj (alias DJ), and Bittu—all residents of New Karman Tola.

Taking prompt action, the police Om Prakash Yadav was also arrested, while Rishi Raj (alias DJ) and Bittu Singh remained at large. The arrested individual, Rakesh Kumar Mishra (alias Dheeraj Kumar Mishra), revealed that they had looted a camera a few days earlier and sold it to Chandan Yadav for ₹20,000.

When they demanded the money from Chandan Yadav, he paid only ₹2,000. He was shot dead over this dispute. The SDPO stated that raids are being conducted to arrest the other accused involved in the case.
