BHABHUA------------------------In accordance with the directives of the Bihar State Legal Services Authority (Patna) and Principal District & Sessions Judge Deepak Kumar, Judge Lalan Kumar—Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA)—inspected the Divisional Jail in Shivhar.
Judge Lalan Kumar stated that Advocate Subodh Kumar from the Legal Aid and Defense Counsel (LADC) system was also present during the inspection.
He noted that the facilities and other arrangements provided to the inmates were reviewed. Observing satisfactory conditions regarding cleanliness, the mess, and other amenities, Judge Lalan Kumar instructed that these standards be consistently maintained.
On this occasion, various awareness programs were organized to disseminate information about NALSA’s beneficial schemes. Participants were informed about the availability of free legal aid through the District Legal Services Authority, Shivhar, for economically disadvantaged and eligible individuals.
