RPF SEIZED 66.24 LITRES OF IMFL

BUXAR-------------------------In a significant operation during a security check at Buxar railway station on Thursday, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) recovered a large quantity of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from five unclaimed bags. The seized liquor was handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP), Buxar, for further action.

RPF Inspector Kundan Singh stated that a routine inspection drive was underway at Buxar station around 11:20 AM on Thursday. During the operation, after Train No. 20802 had departed, five unclaimed bags and satchels were found lying near the new foot-over-bridge (FOB) on Platform No. 1. Upon suspicion, the bags were searched, revealing 368 Tetra Paks of 'Officer's Choice' brand liquor. The total volume of the seized liquor is 66.24 liters, with an estimated value of ₹47,840.

Sub-Inspector B.S. [participated] in this operation... ...Ojha, Assistant Sub-Inspector Yogendra Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector Umesh Kumar Rai, and Head Constable Ashok Kumar were involved.

The RPF Inspector stated that a total liquor ban is in force in Bihar, and the transportation and storage of liquor constitute a punishable offense under the Bihar Excise (Amendment) Act. The seized liquor has been handed over to the GRP Buxar, where a case has been registered under the Bihar Excise (Amendment) Act, and further legal action is underway.
