GOVERNMENT WAS COMPELLED TO YIELD:BHAI DINESH

ARA--------------------------The government was compelled to yield in the face of the solidarity of students and youth, democratic struggle, and public pressure. It is a testament to the strength of democracy that the voice of the people was ultimately heard.

Heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all the students, youth, social organizations, political activists, and every citizen who believes in democracy and participated in this movement.

Had the government accepted the students' legitimate demands in time, the youth across the country would not have been forced to take to the streets.

I also participated in the 'Parliament Gherao' (siege) program at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 20 and amplified the students' voices during the 'Bihar Bandh' in Patna. It gives me personal satisfaction to have had the opportunity to play a role in this democratic struggle.

Subject: Regarding necessary action to resolve issues concerning public interest and development works in Bhojpur district.

Complaints are continuously being received from various areas of Bhojpur district regarding issues that directly impact the lives of the general public, farmers, students, and poor families. As a public representative, I wish to draw your attention to the following serious problems:

The site where displaced families from Jawaniya village have been resettled gets waterlogged even with light rainfall. Please have the site inspected and ensure safe and suitable arrangements are made.

A PCC road was constructed on the Bihiya-Piro State Highway (near the Bihiya overbridge, both north and south sections) without adequate drainage arrangements; consequently, the problem of waterlogging persists on the main road. Please ensure the construction of drains and a permanent drainage system.

Please conduct an impartial review of matters related to the selection of sites for 'Panchayat Sarkar Bhavans' in Akruwa, Tar, and Khannani panchayats, and take necessary decisions while keeping the sentiments and convenience of the local people in mind.

Please ensure the round-the-clock availability of doctors, nurses, medicines, diagnostic facilities, and an ambulance at the Additional Health Centre named after Dr. Naveen Chandra Ram Ghulam, and ensure its regular monitoring.

A special campaign should be launched to bring about comprehensive improvements in the road, drain, drainage, and traffic management systems in Ara city. Effective monitoring and action regarding corruption-related complaints must be ensured at the block, circle, and police station levels.

A high-level inquiry should be conducted into the outsourcing arrangements, as well as the quality of construction work—including school buildings, boundary walls, libraries, electrical wiring, and other infrastructure—within the Education and Health Departments; appropriate action must be taken against the individuals and agencies found responsible for any lapses.

Regular drives should be launched to effectively curb illegal sand mining and sales in the district.

Investigations should be conducted into the arbitrary charging of fees by private schools, colleges, and hospitals, and action should be taken in accordance with the rules.

Prioritizing farmers' issues, review meetings should be held and site inspections conducted regarding irrigation canals, government tube wells, and agricultural power supply, ensuring that necessary improvements are implemented.

In villages where waterlogging persists due to the lack of proper drainage systems, an action plan for constructing drains and channels should be prepared, and the work initiated promptly.

The district administration is defined by impartiality, transparency, sensitivity, and public service. It is expected that you will give serious consideration to the aforementioned points and take the necessary action to further strengthen the general public's trust in the administration.
