DEAD MAN RETURNED AFTER A MONTH

BHABHUA--------------------------A truly astonishing case has emerged from Khudhanu village under the Chand police station area. The return of Sahabu Miyan—who had been presumed dead for a month and a half—has become the talk of the entire area. A crowd gathered, and the family informed the police; officers arrived at the scene and are currently investigating the matter.

Family members stated that Sahabu Miyan had suddenly disappeared from home six months ago, and they had informed the police at the time. According to the family, an unidentified body was found near the Chand canal about a month and a half ago, and the Chand police informed them about it. The body was reportedly in a highly decomposed state. In the presence of the Panchayat Mukhiya, Sarpanch, and other villagers, the family—believing the body to be Sahabu Miyan's—performed the last rites according to their customs. Subsequently, administrative formalities were completed, and a death certificate for Sahabu Miyan was even issued. However, news has now emerged from Uttar Pradesh that Sahabu Miyan has been found alive and has returned to the village, leaving everyone astonished.

This incident has sparked widespread speculation in the village. People are questioning whose body was actually found near the canal and how the processes for the funeral and the issuance of a death certificate were completed without proper identification. An administrative inquiry is now awaited to determine the identity of the unidentified body that was buried.

This matter could potentially become a serious issue regarding identification and administrative procedures. All eyes are now on the administration's investigation and subsequent actions.

In this context, Station House Officer (SHO) Hari Prasad Sharma stated that an unidentified body was recovered near the canal within the police station's jurisdiction last June, and a photograph of it was shared with a group of public representatives for identification. Local representatives and family members identified the deceased as Sahabu Miyan, a resident of Khudhanu village. Following this, the police administration followed due procedure, had a post-mortem conducted, and handed the body over to the relatives. Senior officials have been informed following the recent news. Further action to establish the true identity of the body will be taken in accordance with the magistrate's orders.
