BOOTLEGGER ARRESTEDWITH 4.5 LITRERS OF IMFL

BHABHUA------------------------The Kaimur police are conducting continuous operations to effectively enforce the total liquor ban in Bihar. As part of this effort, the Kudra police arrested an individual for selling liquor and seized 4.5 liters of '8PM' brand IMFL from his possession. Following the seizure, the police registered a case under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act and remanded the accused to judicial custody.

According to police information, action was taken under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition Act, 2022, in connection with Kudra Police Station Case No. 343/26 (dated July 29, 2026). The arrested accused has been identified as Awadh Bihari Singh, son of Chandrama Singh, a resident of Varna village, Kudra police station area, Kaimur district.

The police stated that the raid was conducted based on a tip-off. During the operation, 4.5 liters of '8PM' IMFL were recovered from the accused's possession. The seized liquor was confiscated following due legal procedure, and the accused was arrested on the spot and brought to the police station.

After interrogation and necessary legal proceedings, an FIR was registered against the accused under the liquor ban laws. Following a medical examination and other formalities, he was produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

The Kudra police stated that strict action against violators of the liquor ban law would continue. The police also appealed to the public to immediately report any information regarding the manufacture, sale, or smuggling of liquor so that timely action can be taken to completely curb such illegal activities.
