REIGN OF TERROR IN ROHTAS

SASARAM-------------------------The Shivsagar police station area in Rohtas district witnessed a rampage by local strongmen, where armed miscreants attacked an organic farm center, carrying out acts of firing, looting, and extortion.

Once again, the terror of local strongmen has surfaced in Bihar's Rohtas district. Armed miscreants wreaked havoc at an organic farm center currently under construction near the Jharnawa Baba Temple in Dumarkhoh, within the Shivsagar police station limits.

According to the victim, Irfan Ali, around 12:00 PM on the afternoon of April 5, a man named Ravishankar Pal arrived at the site accompanied by 25 to 30 unidentified individuals. All the miscreants were armed with illegal weapons.

It is reported that the accused fired 3 to 4 rounds into the air, triggering panic and chaos among the laborers working at the site. Subsequently, the miscreants assaulted the laborers and chased them away from the premises.

During the incident, steel rods and cement worth approximately ₹15,000 were looted, and a wall currently under construction was also demolished.

It is alleged that as they were leaving, the miscreants demanded an extortion sum of ₹10 lakh, threatening to completely halt the construction work if the money was not paid. When one individual attempted to protest, the miscreants tried to strangle him in an attempt to kill him; however, people present at the scene intervened and saved him.

The victim has lodged a formal complaint regarding the matter at the police station, demanding strict action against the accused and seeking police protection. The police are currently engaged in a thorough investigation of the entire incident.
