ARA-------------------------- A massive protest march was held in Ara in response to the nationwide call by CPI(ML), AISA, and INYUS, demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan!

Ara/Bhojpur (Dr. Dinesh Prasad Sinha) – July 20: Why was Sonam Wangchuk detained instead of being engaged in dialogue? Modi and Shah must answer; Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan must resign; immediate action is needed to stop paper leaks and corruption in the examination system; the NTA must be dissolved; a transparent and accountable examination system must be implemented. Under the nationwide call of CPI(ML), AISA, and INYUS, a massive protest march was organized in Ara today, starting at 12:00 PM from the Eastern Railway Crossing. The march proceeded from the Eastern Railway Crossing through Station Road, Nawada Chowk, Shivganj, Gopali Chowk, and the Town Police Station, finally reaching Ambedkar Chowk, where it culminated in a public meeting. Addressing the march, CPI(ML) Central Committee member and District Secretary Abhyuday stated that a hunger strike demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is ongoing at Jantar Mantar. Environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk, along with AISA President Neha Singh, Manish, and Amin, have been on a hunger strike for 22 days. Sonam Wangchuk has been arrested, and two AISA activists participating in the hunger strike have been hospitalized. The Central Government remains completely indifferent; to date, no government representative has come to hold talks with the hunger strikers. Instead, a brutal lathi-charge has now been unleashed to suppress this movement, leaving hundreds injured! Addressing the gathering, former Agiaon MLA Shivprakash stated that the future of millions of youths has been ruined at the hands of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan—a favorite of Prime Minister Narendra Modi! The entire education system has been sold off to corporate houses; while the country's youth are out on the streets and observing hunger strikes to save education, the authorities are shamelessly suppressing them and burying democracy!

He asserted that the fight to save democracy, the education system, and employment opportunities would continue! The meeting was conducted by Dilraj Pritam, the CPI(ML) District Office Secretary. Speakers included INYAS State Secretary and former Agiaon MLA Shivprakash Ranjan; CPI(ML) State Committee members Vijay Ojha and Shabbir Kumar; CPI(ML) State Standing Committee member Sangeeta Singh; CPI(ML) Town Secretary Sudhir Singh; AISA District Secretary Jaishankar Prasad; AISA District President Vikas Kumar; INYAS District Secretary Niranjan Kesari; INYAS District President Vishal Kumar; Appu Yadav; AISA District Joint Secretary Roshan Kushwaha; Ophthalmologist Dr. Surendra Prasad Kushwaha; AILAJ District Coordinator Amit Kumar Bunty; AIPWA Town President Shobha Mandal; and CPI(ML) District Committee members Bhola Yadav, Nandji Ram, Vishnu Thakur, Sudhir Yadav, Akhilesh Gupta, Dhanoj Kumar, Kamendra Kumar, Kunal Singh, Rahul Gupta, Anand Kumar, Harinarayan Kumar, Amit Yadav, Neetu Kumari, Varsha Kumari, Muskan Kumari, Pankaj Kushwaha, Ritesh Kumar, Nitish Kumar, Birbahadur Yadav, Sanjay Sajan, Dhirendra Aryan, Kundan Kumar, Dhananjay Kumar, Amod Kumar, Sahil Arora, Siyakant, Sagar, Paswan, Vivek, Virat, Sumit Kumar, Anoop Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Chandan Das, Sudhir Kumar, Dhanu, Dipankar, and Mrityunjay, among hundreds of others.
