PATNA--------------------------The third meeting of the State Executive Committee (2025-27 term) of the Bihar Pradeshik Marwari Sammelan was held on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by the organization's State President, Rakesh Kumar Agarwal (Bansal). Discussions during the meeting focused on various issues related to organizational expansion and social service.
Addressing the gathering, State President Rakesh Bansal stated that the organization embodies the collective strength of the community, working towards its welfare and the creation of a bright future. He urged members from across the state to bring more people into the organization's fold and to take its service initiatives to the masses.
State General Secretary Anjani Kumar Sureka noted that the Bihar Pradeshik Marwari Sammelan was established in 1940 with the aim of uniting the community and eradicating social evils. He highlighted the organization's significant role in relief and rehabilitation efforts during various disasters, including the Bhuj earthquake and the Kosi tragedy.
He mentioned that the Sammelan currently operates numerous public welfare programs—such as 'Annapurna Rasoi' (community kitchens), water supply services, oxygen support, blood donation drives, financial aid for the marriages of girls from underprivileged families, and the distribution of clothing and blankets—through its 153 branches. The organization's services reach all sections of society, transcending barriers of caste and religion.
Various office-bearers and members shared their views during the meeting. At the conclusion of the event, 35 meritorious students from Samastipur, Begusarai, and Khagaria districts were honored with medals and certificates of appreciation during a talent recognition ceremony.
