LAND MAFIA ARRESTED WITH FIREARMS

PATNA---------------------------Santosh Don was apprehended near Hemjapur village while attempting to flee. More than 28 cases are registered against the land mafia operative Santosh Don, and he is wanted in three of them.

The Patna Police have achieved a major breakthrough. Notorious land mafia figure Sanjay Kumar, alias Santosh Don, was arrested following a tip-off. Police nabbed him near Hemjapur village (under the Khusrupur police station area) on NH-31 as he was trying to escape.

Fatuha SDPO-2 Sanjeev Kumar stated at a press conference that an illegal US-made automatic pistol, a magazine, and three live cartridges were recovered from the arrested accused, Sanjay Kumar alias Santosh Don. Additionally, ₹18,900 in cash and a gold chain were seized during the search.

According to the police, a case has been registered against the accused under Sections 25(1-B)a, 26, and 35 of the Arms Act (Khusrupur Police Station Case No. 446/26). Following his arrest, the process of remanding him to judicial custody has been initiated.

The SDPO stated that Sanjay Kumar alias Santosh Don is a notorious land mafia figure from Patna. His current address is Panchrukhiya village (Khusrupur police station, Patna district), while his permanent address is Khidarchak village (Bhagan Bigha/Rahui police station, Nalanda district).

Police records indicate that a total of 28 criminal cases are registered against Santosh Don, and he was wanted in three of them. He had been evading arrest for a long time.

Khusrupur Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjeev Kumar Singh was also present at the press conference. Police stated that further investigation regarding the accused's criminal network and his associates is underway. Following Santosh Don's arrest, the police team will identify his gang members, arrest them, and interrogate them. The police may take Santosh Don to the various districts in Bihar where he operated his gang. His arrest marks a major success for the Patna Police.
