ARA----------------------On July 20, 2026, the District Census Handbook training program—organized as part of the Census of India 2027—was inspected by Dr. Gopal Agarwal (Deputy Director, Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner, India, New Delhi) and Mr. Rahul Srivastava (Assistant Director [Technical], Directorate of Census Operations, Bihar, Patna).

On this occasion, Dr. Shashi Shekhar, District Census Officer-cum-Additional Collector (Bhojpur), welcomed both officials by presenting them with saplings.

During the inspection, the officials reviewed the training program and instructed the participating field officers to execute the tasks related to the District Census Handbook—scheduled to commence on August 1—with utmost dedication, caution, and a sense of responsibility. They emphasized the importance of earnestly internalizing all aspects of the training and ensuring strict adherence to prescribed standards during field operations.

The training program was attended by the Block Development Officers of Sahar and Piro blocks, along with 17 and 33 trainee field officers from the respective blocks.

Training was imparted by Mr. Narvadeshwar Kumar Srivastava and Mr. Nilesh Shukla, trainers appointed by the Directorate of Census Operations, Bihar. Additionally, Ms. Hina (Nodal Officer, District Census Cell), the District Statistics Officer (Bhojpur), and other concerned officials were present.
