ARA---------------------------Acting swiftly under the instructions of Bhojpur District Magistrate Tanay Sultania, a cheque for the ex-gratia grant—funded by the disaster relief budget—was handed over to the dependent family member of a person who died in a lightning strike incident within the Charpokhari administrative block; the entire process was completed in just 12 hours.

The Charpokhari Circle Officer completed the necessary formalities on a priority basis and presented the cheque for the prescribed assistance amount to the deceased's dependent. The district administration is committed to providing immediate relief to families affected by natural disasters, and all concerned officials have been instructed to ensure prompt action in such cases.

In view of the likelihood of lightning strikes during the monsoon season, the district administration appeals to the public not to venture outdoors during thunderstorms and lightning activity. Citizens are advised to avoid open fields, trees, electric poles, and water bodies, and to adhere to the safety guidelines issued by the Disaster Management Department. Vigilance and caution are the most effective measures for protection against lightning strikes.
