ARA---------------------------The body of a young man, who had left his home in Mukundpur village (under Charpokhari police station limits) to visit his in-laws, was recovered the following day. His body was found by the roadside at Mahavir Ganj, within the jurisdiction of the Chauri police station. Marks resembling cuts were observed on the back of his head, face, and below his neck.
The discovery of the body caused a sensation in the village and surrounding areas. Upon receiving the information, Chauri Station House Officer (SHO) Rakesh Kumar Singh arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Dharmendra Ram, son of the late Dadan Ram and a resident of Mukundpur village (Charpokhari police station area). He was a laborer by profession. Meanwhile, the deceased's elder brother, Sanjay Ram, stated that his brother's in-laws lived in the same village as the in-laws of a kinsman (extended family member). A few days prior, his brother had untied the kinsman's buffalo; this led to an accusation of theft and the filing of a formal complaint against his brother at the local police station, although the matter had been resolved.
On Monday morning, he had set out for his in-laws' house in Dhanchuhah village, within the Chauri police station area, when the incident occurred. The exact cause of his death remains unclear; however, the police are investigating the matter.
