BHABHUA---------------------------During a press conference regarding departmental matters at the District Guest House, Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash clarified, in response to a question from *Sheohar Express*, that Panchayat elections would take place only after the delimitation process is completed.

Senior Rashtriya Lok Morcha leader Thakur Dharmendra Prasad Singh and District President Kalyan Patel were present at the press conference, alongside Puja Singh, Himanshu Patel, Ram Lochan Singh Kushwaha, LJP District President Vijay Pandey, HAM party District President Mohammad Ibrahim, and JD(U) District President Kamlesh Pandey. Departmental officials and District Public Relations Officer Ahmar Abdali were also in attendance. Addressing various issues—including the non-payment of honorariums to panchayat-level representatives—the Minister stated that the Panchayati Raj system is being strengthened.

During a press conference, the Panchayati Raj Minister reported that in the district, 17 Panchayat Sarkar Bhawans are under construction, 49 sites have been approved, and 15 buildings have been completed; additionally, RTPS services are operational in 11 of these buildings, and Aadhaar services are available in 7.

Providing details on the 'Chief Minister Rural Solar Street Light Scheme,' the Minister stated that 7,810 units have been installed in Sheohar district. Regarding the 'Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Mandap Scheme,' he noted that 19 panchayats have been identified. He also mentioned that 38 'Moksha Dhams' (cremation/funeral sites) have been identified, and cost estimates for them are currently being prepared.

Speaking about the Zila Parishad, Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash stated that the Zila Parishad in Sheohar district holds a total of 126.94 acres of land. The total revenue generated from Zila Parishad resources during the 2025-26 period stands at ₹16,13,654. The Zila Parishad owns 88 shops.
