According to reports, Manoj Verma owns a jewelry shop in the lane adjacent to the Ramgarh police station. On Friday evening, while he was returning home on his bike after closing the shop, unidentified criminals lying in wait attacked him and attempted to snatch his bag. However, due to the jeweler's alertness and presence of mind, the miscreants failed to commit the robbery and fled the spot after firing shots. Upon receiving information about the incident, Station House Officer (SHO)-in-charge Shravan Kumar arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and began an investigation. A forensic team has also arrived and is conducting an examination. The SHO-in-charge stated that a spent cartridge casing and a slipper were recovered from the site. A case has been registered, and further action is underway.
