DM INAUGURATED SHRAVANI MELA AT GUPTADHAM

SASARAM----------------------District Magistrate Deepak Kumar Mishra inaugurated the month-long Shravani Mela at Guptadham, a renowned religious site in the district, on July 30, 2026. Following the inauguration, he inspected the temple premises alongside officials to review the security measures and arrangements made for the devotees.

Several new facilities have been introduced this year for devotees visiting the cave for *Jalabhishek* (ritual offering of water). Improvements include the beautification of the main entrance, removal of encroachments, installation of rubber mats inside the cave, enhanced lighting and oxygen supply systems, and safety upgrades along the route.

Regarding traffic management, the entry of four-wheeled vehicles on the Guptadham route has been prohibited. Only two-wheelers (motorcycles) are permitted, and the use of helmets along with a valid driving license is mandatory.

The district administration stated that adequate police personnel—including female officers—medical teams, ambulances, and a control room will be deployed to ensure security during the fair. Additionally, the use of plastic and unnecessary honking are banned. The administration has urged devotees to adhere to the issued guidelines.
