ARA------------------------A new controversy has emerged regarding the Assistant Professor recruitment process conducted by the Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC). A candidate from Ara has alleged that despite possessing a valid EWS certificate, she was denied permission to appear for the interview under the EWS category and was pressured to undergo the interview in the General category instead. She has now stated her intention to approach the High Court over the matter. Dr. Sushmita has alleged serious irregularities in the contractual Assistant Professor recruitment process conducted by the Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC). She states that she was mistreated during the interview for the subject of Sociology, held on July 25, 2026, at the Deep Narayan Singh Regional Institute of Cooperative Management in Shastri Nagar, Patna.

Dr. Sushmita claims she possessed all necessary documents, including a validly issued EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate. Despite this, during document verification, Commission officials refused to allow her to appear for the interview under the EWS category and pressured her to appear under the General (unreserved) category. She states that, given the circumstances, she was compelled to appear for the interview in the General category.

The candidate says her interview went well, yet she was not selected in the recently declared results. She claims that had she been given the opportunity to interview under the EWS category and be evaluated on that basis, her chances of selection would have been higher.

Dr. Sushmita has alleged that the Commission's actions violated her constitutional and statutory rights. She has demanded an impartial inquiry into the matter, action against the responsible officials, and justice based on the EWS category status.

The candidate has stated that she will approach the High Court regarding this matter. She intends to challenge the Commission's actions through legal channels and seek justice.
