ARA---------------------------A new twist has emerged in the high-profile alleged encounter case of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari from Bihar's Bhojpur district. Amidst the ongoing fight for justice, the case has returned to the spotlight due to alleged threats on social media and a dispute in Bilauti village. Complaints regarding both incidents have been lodged at the Shahpur police station, and the police have initiated an investigation.
According to reports, Asha Devi—mother of the late Bharat Bhushan Tiwari and a resident of Bilauti village in the Shahpur police station area—has lodged an FIR alleging persistent threats received via social media. She has named two individuals from the village and demanded strict legal action. The police have registered a case based on the complaint and have begun investigating the matter.
Family members state that they had recently met several senior leaders in Patna to demand justice. Immediately following this, heated rhetoric regarding this sensitive case intensified on social media, leading to a cycle of mutual accusations between the two parties. The aggrieved family alleges that they are being continuously targeted because of this.
In her complaint, the mother stated that she had visited the Honorable Chief Minister a few days ago, accompanied by some family members. On July 28, at approximately 8:17 AM, a relative who is handling the case received a threat on his mobile phone. She noted that threats involving verbal abuse and intent to kill had also been received earlier, on July 11. She also provided the two mobile numbers from which the threats originated: 9973022276 and 9931788066. "Across all social media accounts, his goons are sending me obscene messages and using abusive and indecent language, specifically targeting my daughter-in-law and daughter by name. They are using filthy language and asking things like, 'For how much have you sold yourself?'" – Asha Devi, mother of Bharat Tiwari.
Meanwhile, a new incident involving an alleged assault and a heated altercation with Anshu Kumar (alias Luv Tiwari)—a close relative and cousin of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari—has come to light in Bilauti village. Serious allegations have been leveled against a local youth in this matter as well. A demand for strict legal action has been made to the local Shahpur police station.
Shahpur Station House Officer (SHO) Santosh Kumar stated that an impartial investigation is underway based on the complaints received in both cases. An FIR has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the IT Act regarding the alleged threats made on social media.
"Regarding the assault case, the process for taking action in accordance with the rules has been initiated following the receipt of the complaint. The police are currently investigating both matters. The true nature of the allegations will only become clear once the investigation is complete and the evidence has been verified." – Santosh Kumar, Shahpur SHO.
Recently, the family met with Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary in Patna. The CM assured them that justice would be served. Additionally, several leaders—ranging from BJP MP Manoj Tiwari to members of the opposition—have met with the family.
