Sunshine Convent Cricket Tournament Kicks Off; Six Thrilling Matches Played on Opening Day

Kachhauna, Hardoi (RNI) The two-day cricket tournament organized by Sunshine Convent School, Kachhauna, was inaugurated by Mahendra Pal Singh, Principal of Seth Bhooram Mal Adarsh Inter College, who formally opened the event by cutting the ribbon. Addressing the gathering, he said that such sports events contribute to the all-round development of students, adding that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body.

The tournament was formally declared open by journalist Manoj Tiwari, who interacted with the players and later played a ceremonial shot on the cricket pitch. School Manager Sunil Soni stated that sports not only strengthen physical fitness but also foster discipline, team spirit, and leadership qualities among students.

On the first day, a total of six league matches were played, during which players showcased impressive performances and excellent sportsmanship. Following these matches, teams from Classes 5, 6, 7, and 8 qualified for the semifinals.

Anuj Gupta, Nadeem, Rehan, and Ansh officiated as umpires, while commentary was provided by Vijay Gupta, Avnish, and Priyanshu. Scoring duties were handled by Vikas, Shivnarayan, and Atul Shukla. The tournament was successfully conducted under the supervision of Principal Shoaib.

The event witnessed the presence of school management, teachers, students, and a large number of cricket enthusiasts.
