Amidst the preparations for the Municipal Corporation elections and the President's proposed program, allegations of a major land grab have surfaced in the city. There are rumors that some officials and Circle Officer Manoj Kumar (CO) are working at the behest of land mafias, keeping the Deputy Commissioner in the dark. Such claims are now being openly made that rules and regulations have been thrown to the wind in the face of coins!

If sources are to be believed, the game that began in the dark of night on government and disputed lands from Birsanagar to Govindpur is now continuing in broad daylight! Where files were previously moved quietly, now there is open talk of 'setting' in land-related matters?

Locals allege that some land mafias used to meet with officials in the dark of night, but now they are negotiating in offices during the day! The question arises: under whose protection is all this happening?

The most serious allegation concerns matters related to the zonal office. It is being said that if the department simply investigates how many 'motions' (land-related proposals/mutations/file movements) were filed during CO Manoj Kumar's tenure and who all were involved in them, an entire "Ramayana" could be written! How were so many files passed in such a short time? On what basis was the land's character changed? Who benefited?

There is also talk in the city that land-related matters were resolved quickly under the guise of election busyness and high-profile events. Have the administration's priorities truly shifted, or did some individuals take advantage of the situation?

Now, demands are being raised for a high-level investigation into the entire matter. The Deputy Commissioner should personally review the matter and thoroughly examine all orders, mutations, and land conversion proposals passed during the relevant period. If everything is in accordance with the rules, the situation will become clear. If there are irregularities, strict action should be taken against the culprits.

The biggest question is this: is the land grabbing by mafias in Jamshedpur happening right under the administration's nose? Or is this whole game being played out by keeping someone in the dark? All eyes are now on the administration's next action!
