SASARAM-------------------------On the occasion of World Environment Day, Shri Sunil Kumar—a senior litterateur and the Rohtas district coordinator of 'Kashi Kavya Sangam'—extended his greetings and remarked that nature is the most precious gift bestowed upon humanity by the Divine. This Earth does not belong solely to us; it is a shared heritage belonging to future generations, animals, birds, and the entire living world. Trees, water, air, and soil form the foundation of our lives; yet, in the blind race for modern development, humans have begun to harm these very life-sustaining forces.

Rising pollution, deforestation, the water crisis, and changing weather patterns serve as constant warnings: if we fail to protect nature today, future generations will never forgive us. Merely delivering grand speeches or planting a sapling on a single day... To save the environment, we must bring about changes in our lifestyles.

A tree is not merely wood; it is a home, a source of breath, a provider of shade, and the foundation of life for future generations. Just as we protect our families, safeguarding Mother Earth is our moral duty.

We will plant as many trees as possible, respect every drop of water, minimize plastic use, provide food and water for animals and birds, and strive to live in harmony with nature.

Centuries ago, our ancient culture recognized the divine presence within trees, rivers, mountains, and all living beings. Environmental conservation is not just a necessity; it is a responsibility rooted in our culture and humanity.

Plant trees, save water, and protect nature—for life exists only if the Earth survives.
