RAJIV NAYAN AGRAWAL

BUXAR-----------------------The holy Harishayani (Devshayani) Ekadashi, falling during the bright fortnight (Shukla Paksha) of the Ashadha month, will be observed this year on Saturday, July 25, 2026. In this regard, Acharya Bimlesh Ojha Maharaj, a scholar from Buxar, informed devotees about the religious significance of the occasion and the timings for the fast and its conclusion (Paran).

Acharya Bimlesh Ojha explained that observing a fast and worshipping Lord Vishnu with prescribed rituals on Harishayani Ekadashi holds special significance. According to religious belief, Lord Vishnu enters a state of cosmic slumber (*Yoganidra*) for four months starting from this day, marking the commencement of *Chaturmas*. During this period, auspicious ceremonies are suspended, while spiritual practice, devotional singing (*bhajan-kirtan*), and religious rituals are considered particularly important.

He stated that the Harishayani Ekadashi fast will be observed on July 25 (Saturday), while it would be auspicious to break the fast before 10 AM on the following day, Sunday, July 26.

The Acharya urged devotees to pray for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of their families and society by worshipping Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, observing the fast, and engaging in acts of charity.
