BHABHUA---------------------------Under the Climate-Resilient Agriculture program, the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (Agricultural Science Center), Sheohar, is organizing training and demonstration programs focused on the Moong crop across five selected villages in the district: Minapur Balha, Nayagaon, Sugiya Katsari, Dostiya, and Bisambharpur. It is noteworthy that these five villages were selected by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sheohar, with the specific objective of promoting climate-resilient agriculture.

The primary objective of this program is to familiarize farmers with climate-resilient agricultural techniques and to encourage the advanced cultivation of Moong. In this context, demonstrations and training sessions regarding the Moong crop are currently being conducted for approximately 250 farmers across these five villages. During the program, farmers were provided with detailed information on advanced seed varieties, seed treatment, balanced fertilizer management, pest and disease control, and scientific farming methods.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Saurabh Patel stated that, in light of the challenges posed by climate change, the importance of pulse crops—such as Moong—has increased significantly. He encouraged farmers to adopt scientific techniques to achieve higher yields at lower costs.

Meanwhile, Dr. Anuradha Ranjan Kumari, Senior Scientist and Head of the center, remarked that Moong cultivation not only helps in enhancing farmers' income but also improves soil fertility, thereby benefiting subsequent crops as well.

During the program, Ravi Shankar provided farmers with information regarding advanced agricultural implements and their proper usage, while Ravi Ranjan, a Technical Assistant, made a significant contribution to the successful execution of the event. This initiative marks a crucial step toward promoting sustainable and profitable agriculture within the region.
