PATNA-----------------------Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, the Urban Development and Housing Department of the Bihar Government has granted administrative approval to release the first installment of ₹233.05 crore for 45 BLC (Beneficiary-Led Construction) projects across the state. This amount will be disbursed during the 2026-27 financial year via the SNA SPARSH system. Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat in Bhojpur district has also been allocated a significant portion of these funds. According to the department's data, approval has been granted for a total of ₹3.04 crore (₹304 lakh) to cover 304 out of the 309 approved beneficiaries in Jagdishpur Nagar Panchayat under the second phase.

*   Scheduled Tribe (ST) Category: ₹3 lakh

*   Other Categories (Non-SC/ST): ₹239 lakh

*   Total Approved Amount: ₹304 lakh (₹3.04 crore)

These funds will play a crucial role in accelerating housing construction for eligible beneficiaries within the Nagar Panchayat area. Financial assistance will be provided to beneficiaries in a phased manner, enabling them to complete the construction of their permanent homes quickly.

The Urban Development and Housing Department has directed that the approved funds be disbursed through the SNA SPARSH system (a PFMS-based 'Just-in-Time' system). This ensures direct and transparent expenditure and expedites the scheme's implementation.

The objective of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 is to provide permanent housing units ranging from 30 to 45 square meters to economically weaker and homeless families residing in urban areas. Santosh Kumar Yadav, Chief Councilor of Nagar Panchayat Jagdishpur, stated that the approval of ₹3.04 crore for the Nagar Panchayat under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 is a major achievement for the poor and homeless families in the area. This fund will accelerate the construction of houses for eligible beneficiaries. The Nagar Panchayat will ensure the scheme's implementation with complete transparency and in accordance with government guidelines, so that every eligible person receives the benefits on time.

Councilor Ranjit Raj (Ward 06) remarked, "The approval of ₹3.04 crore for Nagar Panchayat Jagdishpur under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 is certainly welcome news for poor families. I urge that the selection of beneficiaries be conducted with complete impartiality and transparency, and that the benefits of the sanctioned funds reach the eligible people quickly. As a public representative, I will also strive to ensure that the scheme's benefits reach genuine and needy families and that no eligible person is left out."

Ward Councilor Kashish Kumari Soni (Ward 17) stated that the approval of ₹3.04 crore for Nagar Panchayat Jagdishpur under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 is a significant step towards the development of the town. It will help economically weaker and homeless families realize their dream of owning a permanent house.
