NOTIFICATION ISSUED FOR BY-ELECTIONS ON THE VACANT POSTS IN ARA, PIRO AND SHAHPUR MUNICIPAL BODIES

ARA-----------------------------Notification issued for by-elections on vacant posts in Ara, Piro and Shahpur municipal bodies and with this nomination will be started from May 28, 2025.

In the light of the notification, the programme for the Municipal by-election 2025 has been fixed by the State Election Commission. The information in Form 11 will be published by the Returning Officer on May 28, 2025. With this nomination will start.

The last date for nomination has been fixed as June 5, 2025. The date of scrutiny is from June 6 to June 9, 2025. Nomination withdrawal will be done from June 10 to June 12, 2025 from 11am to 3pm. After withdrawal of nomination, the list of candidates will be published and election symbol will be allotted on June 13, 2025 and voting will be held on June 28, 2025 from 7am to 5pm and counting of votes will be held on June 30, 2025 from 8am onward.

Elections will be held in Ward No 34 of Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC), Ward No 20 of Nagar Parishad PIro and Ward No 7 and 8 of Nagar Panchayat Shahpur due to vacancies. As soon as the notification of the election was issued, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force in the constituency of the concerned ward by the State Election Commission and will remain in force till the declaration of results after the counting of votes.
