ARA---------------------------Ara Railway Police solved the murder mystery of Satyam Kumar, a graduate student at Ara railway station and arrested three miscreants in this regard. The arrested miscreants were identified as Kumar Rishu alas Shashank of MP Bagh Pathar Gali under Ara town police station, Aditya Kumar of Mahadeva Road under Ara town police station and Nitish Kumar of Sri Tola under Ara Nawada police station. However, the main accused Ravi Kumar is still absconding and the police are conducting raids to arrest him. The police sent the arrested miscreants to jail after interrogation.
Patna Rail SP Amritanshu Shekhar Thakur said that Satyam Kumar 26 son of Haridwar Thakur of Osai village under Bihia police station lived with his family in the Paschim Tola locality under Ara town police station for many years. He said that on the night of April 27, 2025, a student Satyam Kuamr was beaten up at Ara railway station while goingn to Lucknow for treatment. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment and an FIR was lodged with the police on the statement of his brother Satish Kumar. Taking the matter seriously, a police team was formed under the Danapur rail DSP Prashant Kumar. The police team scanned all the CCTV footage at Ara railway station. Apart from technical and scientific sources, local inputs were also taken help of. In that, three friends of the main accused Ravi Kumar were arrested while identifying the accused involved in the murder. During investigation and interrogation, the arrested miscreants revealed that Satyam Kumar’s sister was in love with Ravi Kumar but Satyam Kumar was against this. And so Ravi Kumar hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Satyam Kumar. He knew that Satyam Kumar had to go to Lucknow for treatment. To execute his plan, he reached the railway station with his three friends on the night of April 27, 2025 where they beat up Satyam Kumar first badly while boarding the Chandigarh Superfast Express train and injured him. Satyam Kumar was referred to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition where he died after 17 days during treatment.
Family members said that during the assault, the miscreants also snatched about Rs.1.20 lakh in cash and a gold chain from Satyam Kumar.
