Budaun (RNI) The state government’s ambitious Mukhyamantri Gram Parivahan Yojana 2026 aims to strengthen rural connectivity while generating self-employment opportunities across villages. The scheme seeks to link every gram panchayat with affordable and accessible transport services. Interested applicants can apply until March 28, 2026.

Under the scheme, vehicles with a seating capacity of 15 to 28 passengers—diesel, CNG, or electric—are permitted for operation. The maximum age of vehicles has been capped at eight years, while only CNG and electric vehicles will be allowed in NCR regions. Selected vehicle owners will be granted a contract for 10 years, extendable by an additional five years.

The application fee has been fixed at ₹2,000, along with a refundable security deposit of ₹5,000 per vehicle. A monthly fee of ₹1,500 will also be applicable. Notably, the scheme offers a 100% exemption from permit requirements, allowing vehicle owners to retain full earnings within prescribed fare limits.

Operators will have the flexibility to determine routes, schedules, and frequency of trips, although a minimum of two trips per gram panchayat per day is mandatory. The scheme also permits operations across multiple development blocks. The selection process is expected to be completed within 15 to 45 days.

Routes will be finalized by a District -level committee chaired by the District Magistrate. In case of accidents, liability for compensation and insurance claims will rest with the vehicle owner.

According to ARM Rajesh Pathak, applications have started coming in from block-level offices in Budaun, and the process is currently underway. He expressed expectations of receiving around 30 to 34 applications. ARTO Hariom confirmed that the scheme does not require permits, making it more accessible for applicants.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications at the respective Assistant Regional Manager (UPSRTC) offices within 15 days of the official notification. Further details are available at transport corporation offices in Bareilly, Budaun, and Pilibhit.

RNI Budaun (RNI) In a bid to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates, the health department in Budaun has intensified efforts to ensure timely identification and monitoring of high-risk pregnancies (HRP) across the district.

A training programme was held on Thursday at the Chief Medical Officer’s office auditorium, where 34 doctors and medical officers from block and urban areas were trained in identifying and managing high-risk pregnant women. The session was conducted by Dr Rajveer Singh, Nodal Officer of the Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) programme.

Officials informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan, special health check-ups for pregnant women are conducted on the 1st, 9th, 16th and 24th of every month. Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) play a key role in identifying high-risk cases, which are then referred to block and district-level health facilities for further evaluation.

Medical experts highlighted that conditions such as anaemia, high blood pressure, seizures, diabetes, height below 145 cm, weight below 35 kg, and pregnancies in women below 18 or above 35 years are categorised as high-risk. Serious cases are promptly referred to higher medical centres for advanced care.

The training programme also saw support from Shivam Soni, representative of the International Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR). Health officials directed all participants to ensure timely identification and proper treatment of high-risk pregnant women in their respective areas to effectively curb maternal and infant mortality.

During questioning, he identified himself as Mohammad Arif, son of Abdul Hameed, resident of Mohshampur, Bilhat, and claimed to be the owner of the establishment.

During the inspection, officials thoroughly examined the purchase and sale records of Sypcoff-T (Codeine-based) Syrup 100 ml. The documents revealed that the store had purchased:

Budaun Uttar Pradesh (RNI ) : The Mining Department in Badaun has posted an impressive revenue recovery this fiscal year, significantly driven by the efficiency and monitoring efforts of newly appointed District Mining Officer Gulshan Kumar. Against the annual target of ₹8.85 crore, the department has already collected ₹4.65 crore between April and October, achieving more than half of the goal within seven months. Notably, ₹2.34 crore was recovered in October alone, marking one of the highest monthly recoveries in recent years.

Brick-kiln conversion fees boost revenue

Officials said a major share of October’s revenue came from the conversion fee collected from brick kilns. Badaun district has 220 operational brick kilns, all of which require ordinary soil for raw brick production. To extract soil from agricultural fields, kiln owners must upload the plot (gatta) details on the online portal and obtain permission from the Mining Department.

The department verifies the land records, conducts on-site inspections, and grants approval only after confirming compliance with rules.

Permission rules and restrictions

For domestic use:
• Extraction using hand tools (fawda) permitted for 15 days – up to 33 tractor-trolleys
• Extraction using JCB machines permitted for 90 days

JCB machines are used for soil extraction at brick kilns.

Digging beyond 2 metres is strictly prohibited.

Violations may attract penalties ranging from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh.

During the monsoon months—June, July and August—no soil excavation permissions are granted.

Use of 'Palothan' in firing chambers

To fire approximately 50 lakh bricks in a single cycle, brick kilns typically use three to four dumpers of ‘Palothan’, a crucial material in the brick-firing process.

With revenue collections rising steadily and enforcement becoming stricter, the Badaun Mining Department’s performance is being widely appreciated. Officials attribute the improved monitoring and transparency to the proactive approach of Officer Gulshan Kumar, whose tenure is proving instrumental in boosting departmental efficiency.

Badaun, Uttar Pradesh (RNI) Under the Badaun District Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, over two and a half lakh workers are registered, out of which 168,000 are active. However, approximately 82,000 workers have not been active for the past two months. Of these, so far, 60,500 workers have renewed their registration, leaving about 21,500 workers pending renewal. Assistant Labour Commissioner Sweta Garg stated that if the remaining workers do not renew their registration by November 15, their names will be included in the cancellation list.

Furthermore, if these workers do not renew their registration, they will not be able to avail of government schemes. The government has issued orders to ensure all workers renew their registration by November 15.

Sweta Garg emphasized that all construction-related workers must register and renew on the upbocw.in portal. Throughout the year, camps are organized to raise awareness among workers.

*Ongoing Schemes Include:*

- Child, Maternity, and Girl Child Assistance Scheme
- Construction Worker Death and Disability Assistance Scheme
- Atal Residential School Scheme
- Girl Child Marriage Assistance Scheme
- Sant Ravidas Education Promotion Scheme
- Prime Minister Labour Yogi Maan Dhan Pension Scheme
- National Pension Scheme, Traders, and more.

Sweta Garg also mentioned that representatives from trade unions, companies, and contractors are informed about the schemes, registration, and renewal processes. Despite this, a lack of awareness is hindering renewal. All workers are instructed to complete renewal by November 15, which will be carried out on a war footing through camps. She added that without renewal, workers will not benefit from government schemes. Renewal can be done by paying just 20 rupees annually at the common service center.
