Ansar Welfare Trust and Guru Sewa Trust Emphasize Job Creation for Underprivileged, Distribute Ration Kits

New Delhi (RNI) In a meeting of social activists here the last late evening it was emphasised that more and more job opportunities must be created for the underprivileged sections of society while doling out whatever help is required to them The meeting was organised at Darya gunj office of Ansar welfare trust in association eith Guru Sewa Trust to distribute ration kits to the listed beneficiary families

Sardar Jagtar Singh of Guru Sewa Trust and local activist Shri Ashish Sharma Advocate were all praise for the multi faced work and numerous welfare programs of Ansar welfare Trust since long 12 years of its existence in the field of women empowerment and child care.

They and other speakers present discussed the big scope of this initiative of Ansar which regularly distributes monthly ration kits provides free coaching and counselling to the needy students especially the girls, trains them in self defence English speaking , cutting and tailoring classes, and f through self help groups apart from providing legal help to the victims of domestic violence and also takes care of child rights among many other programs.

Both Shri Jagtar Singh and Ashish Sharma encouraged the Ansar Welfare Trust to bring more job opportunities programs which might be sponsered by them.

Present in the meeting were more than 50 people, including Mumtaz jahan, Sabra, khurshid begum, Laiqa, Anam, Mariyam, Marjeena, Ishrat jahan, Farheen, Asma , Munnawar sultana, Seema, krishna, Babita, Kavita, Nawazuddin, Nanne bhai, Naseer, .Misba Naaz, Naba khan, safia, farhana, Ateeba, Rehman, Naeema, nishat, Naseem, etc Dr. Asma Arshi, Director of the trust, delivered a comprehensive presentation it's work since 2013 and also thanked the invitees for their valued presence.

World Book Fair begins in New Delhi

New Delhi: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education has organised an Essay competition in Indian Sign Language at the World Book Fair in New Delhi on February 27, 2023, at Pragati Maidan. It was a unique initiative of NIOS to provide a platform to the Deaf and hard of hearing learners. NIOS has been working for the implementation of NEP-2020 in various ways and this initiative was really a step forward in that direction.Two eminent scholars, Ms. Saudamini Pethe, Director, of All India Foundation of Deaf Women and Board Trustee of Access Mantra Foundation and Sh. Siddharth Gautam, Joint Secretary of Disabled Employment Association of Railway were invited as a jury.
Total 24 learners took part in this competition with great enthusiasm and zeal. The toughest job for our judges was to find out winners for the competitions but few participants were chosen as they have put their efforts and hard work to be the winner. The winners were judged by Ms. Saudamini Pethe, Director, of All India Foundation of Deaf Women and Board Trustee of Access Mantra Foundation and Sh. Siddharth Gautam, Joint Secretary of Disabled Employment Association of Railway. All the participants were given certificate of participation.
The Hon'ble Minister of State for Education, Government of India, Dr. Subhas Sarkar Ji also visited the stall of NIOS at the World Book Fair in New Delhi today, on February 28, 2023. He appreciated the initiatives and work of NIOS and also congratulated it on its future endeavors.

Asma Arshi receives honorary doctorate degree from an US university

New Delhi, 29 January (RNI): Asma Arshi Director of Al Ansar Welfare Trust was conferred honorary Doctorate by George Washington University for peace, USA here today.

This recognition of her work in child rights, child protection, support to women and girls of economically weaker sections especially in walled city of Delhi, coaching counseling of promising students from class viii to xii, provisions of ration kits to poor families, paying medical bills of old and poor and many other acts of kindness came this late afternoon in Azad Bhawan , ITO during UN SDG global leadership conclave 2023.

It was also an award function which also brought ambassador of peace award for Asma Arshi from centre of peace studies, Srilanka.The honorary degree of doctorate from George Washington University for peace, USA and ambassador peace award sere given by Professor Dr Rias Suleima lebbi, senior research scientist and executive director of the centre.
