ARA (RNI) A fiery mishap on Tuesday afternoon near Harpur village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur led to a head-on collision between two bikes, sparked by smoke from burning roadside bushes, leaving four people severely injured.
The crash occurred on the Nagarawn-Kasmariyan canal path, where thick smoke from a fire set to clear bushes obscured visibility. The collision was so intense that one bike skidded into the flames, catching fire as petrol from its tank fueled the blaze. The injured, identified as Rinku Singh (32), son of Srinath Singh; Indrajeet Kumar (36), son of Baduri Prasad; Santosh Kumar (30), son of Kanhaiya Singh from Dobeya Tola; and Rajkumar Singh, son of Sukhdev Singh from Kharanti village, were rushed from Charpokhari CHC to Ara Sadar Hospital.
Police said someone had set fire to roadside bushes to clear them, blanketing the road in smoke and blinding riders. The fierce impact sent one bike into the fire, where it burned to ashes. All four victims sustained serious burns and are under treatment.
