ARA---------------------A video has emerged from Ara Railway Station in Bihar's Bhojpur district that exposes the flaws in the railway premises' security arrangements. In today's times, the obsession with becoming famous on social media and garnering 'likes and views' has gripped the youth to such an extent that they have forgotten the decorum expected in public places. A viral video clearly shows a young man and woman openly filming a 'Reel' on the platform of Ara Junction without any fear or hesitation. Amidst a large crowd of passengers, the couple is seen dancing to crude Bhojpuri songs.

The responsibility for security and ensuring a smooth journey for passengers at railway stations lies with the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF). However, it is surprising that not a single security personnel was seen on duty while rules were being blatantly flouted on the platform. This incident has raised serious questions regarding the safety and privacy of ordinary passengers—especially women and families—present at the station. Passengers state that the craze for making Reels often creates a risk of accidents, yet the administration remains a mute spectator.

The railway administration has swung into action after the video went viral on social media and concerns regarding public safety were raised. Deepak Kumar, the RPF Inspector at Ara, has taken cognizance of the matter. He stated that the viral video is being investigated and efforts are underway to identify the young man and woman using CCTV footage. The RPF Inspector assured that strict legal action under the Railway Act would be taken against those engaging in such illicit activities and violating rules within railway premises.
